Erika quickly harnessed her passion
for ponies at Saddle River Farm. She and Lucy have been diligently preparing to win
in the Mini/Pre-Short Stirrup division. We're happy to
report, this 9 year old dynamo has accomplished her
goal! Making her first show ring appearance with her
medium pony, 'I Love Lucy', Erika proudly took home her
first GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP in the Mini/Pre-Short
Stirrup division on June 1. Erika rides 6 days a week
and has her sights set on a wall full of blue ribbons
and shiny trophies. Erika is
no stranger to the thrill of competition. She's a star
soccer and field hockey player and enjoys speeding around the motocross
track. Erika's favorites include the color pink (just
look at her pony's wardrobe), food (from ice
cream to lobster) and her pony of course! She is an
avid reader and enjoys presenting public speaking
presentations.

At her very first public
speaking presentation, Erika spoke so eloquently on
'Colic' (and even preformed a mini-colic surgery)
that she was selected to present at Regionals! In
preparation for her presentation (in addition to
months of research), Erika participated in making
hospital rounds, studying a live colic case
(including diagnostic work-up and after-care) and
watching surgeries at the
Center for Veterinary Care.
She was granted personal interviews by Dr. Ron Vin, DVM,
DACVIM and Dr. Grant Myhre, BS, DVM.
