Boarding at Saddle River Farm

Just 90 minutes North of the Big Apple's mayhem, you'll find Saddle River Farm, nestled in beautiful Dutchess County, NY, a place where horses and country living set the pace. SRF is a horseman's paradise with million dollar views, spectacular amenities, show quality horses and unsurpassed expertise. SRF was created for horse enthusiasts to enjoy riding at its best and forget the routine of daily life.

We strictly limit the number of horses and ponies that stable with us to ensure the best possible, personalized care for each one, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We feed quality grain and the finest hay available on a personalized nutritional program to meet the needs of each horse/pony in our care. We do not charge an extra fee for administrating supplements or medications supplied by the owner. We are on a strict worming regimen with most horses on Strongid C.  Our supplements and nutrition programs are routinely monitored and are evaluated periodically by our vet and nutritional experts. We care for your horse/pony as if he/she was our very own. We make every effort to prioritize safety and follow a strict preventative care program to keep your horse healthy and happy.

The traditional style of the center aisle barn allows for a 16' wide, well illuminated aisle, oversized wash/grooming stall with hot and cold running water, and a large tack room and lounge. Each 12x12 box stall is fully equipped with wall-to-wall, therapeutic rubber stall mats, individual lighting system, corner hay rack, removable grain tub, automatic waters, independent stall fan, blanket bar, half grill stall front & sliding stall door. Horses and ponies are turned-out daily in board-fenced paddocks for as long as they desire or schedules allow, weather permitting. Horses and ponies are fly sprayed daily and given a light grooming as needed. A fabulous, custom stone patio provides ample place to relax and and chat with friends.

SRF proudly offers the professional veterinary services of Dr. Ron Vin, DVM, DACVIM (Center for Veterinary Care) in Millbrook, NY and Mr. Ed Dolan for hoof care and farrier.

Riders can enjoy 'showing-off' their polished skills to family and friends  in one of our riding arenas. The 60' round training pen and large outdoor ring have been professionally designed and provide proper drainage for 'all-weather' footing. Our jumping ring is beautifully appointed with horse show quality jumps. Courses are periodically redesigned to offer riders new challenges and training opportunities.

The facility has been designed and professionally built to meet the needs of the discriminating horse person. SRF caters to recreational/pleasure riders and to those with a view for competition. SRF has a long history of offering a limited amount of stalls to clients who wish to board their horse/pony and take advantage of our wonderful facility and professional services. We are dedicated to passing on the tradition of excellence to all of our clients.
